Ben Baker

Ben is a visual artist who works with digital illustration, 2d animation and traditional drawing and painting. He received a fine art education from Falmouth School of art and the Royal Academy in the UK and since moving to Sweden has worked with clients as diverse as Louis Vuitton, IKEA, Wrangler, Röhsska Museet and Sveriges Radio.

Ben’s work is often colourful and fantasy full and can be loosely expressive and detailed at the same time. In his work, fake landscapes, unhuman portraits, corporeal machines, impossible buildings and unfamiliar toys create an uncanny world of strange places, people and things. He takes inspiration from sci-fi literature, synthesizers, old encyclopedias, unruly nature and children’s creative play.
