Anders Holmer
Visual artist, illustrator and architect, Anders writes and illustrates witty humorous stories filled with peculiar characters. His books Allting händer, Regn and Ingenting händer have been awarded both in Sweden and internationally. Regn has been selected for the NY Original Art Exhibit, White Raven and dPictus for 100 outstanding picture books.
Holmer is currently working on an exhibition for Galleri Majnabbe opening sept 24th. The exhibition will display around ten thousand ink drawings made over a period of twenty years. The drawings measure 3x7 centimeters and are nailed to the wall with one nail each.
- The large amount of drawings, the small size, and the speed all contribute to a relaxed and almost meditative state of mind where I can access something more primal, a stream of characters emerge from... somewhere.
